Getting started...

Welcome to the Hoathly Hub,
sponsored by West Hoathly Parish Council.

The Hoathly Hub's goal is to be the gateway to information about everything to do with living in the Parish of West Hoathly. At present it is still in its infancy but will develop rapidly over the coming months. Please help to realise this vision by letting us know what you would like to find here.

To access the current information, just click on any coloured circle to display an information panel, or on a picture to visit another local website. You can return to the Hub itself by clicking on the logo on any page.

To stay informed please register with the Hub now - it will only take a few seconds; we promise to take great care of your personal data and not bombard you with emails! You will then be able to add landmarks to our map and will receive an occasional email to let you know when something new has been added to the Hub.

To keep up to date you could also follow us on Twitter
..or become a fan of our Facebook page!

  • Notice

The public consultation runs from 4th August to 27th October.
WSCC is proposing a new model of day services based on 3 levels of need. They propose moving away from 'multi-purpose' day centres to focus on specialist services that meet higher and more complex needs. People with low & medium needs will be supported through local community services by voluntary and independent organisations supplying a wider range of community based day activities. People will be supported to participate in community recreational and leisure activities available to all. Day activities do not involve any residential care.
Further information and the opportunity to fill in the questionnaire is available at the link below.

  • Parish Futures Conservation Group:

Did you know this is happening in West Hoathly Parish? more...

    [Tue 10th Aug]

  • Notice

The Parish Futures Conservation group can announce that the Sun is providing the equivalent of 6 houses' annual electricity needs in West Hoathly Parish. No, this is not a generous gift from Rupert Murdoch; this is the total effect of the 9 properties with Solar Water heating and the 6 installations of Solar Electricity generation around our communities - at least these are the ones we know about.
Like to know more and find out what else you can do in your house to reduce your energy bills? Visit the West Hoathly Home Energy Fair on Sunday October 17th between 10AM and 2PM at West Hoathly Primary School. Afterwards, you can go and see these and other approaches in action locally at the Open House Circuit.
If you want to see how much solar energy is actually being captured at this instant, go to the Conservation page link below and watch the sun energy gauge.
