Top Road - Soft Landscaping Initiative for Traffic Calming

CLOSED Miscellaneous Article

Author: John Downe

Published: Wednesday, 23rd July 2014

West Hoathly Parish Council has written to all households which adjoin Top Road to encourage ideas to change the "streetscene". As a result of suitable schemes it is hoped that driver behaviour can be changed and vehicle speeds will be reduced. In the August-September 2014 Chronicle the parish council announced that a "Speak Out!" topic would be available for other parish residents to also put forward suggestions including relevant examples they may have seen elsewhere in the UK or abroad.

The letter, supporting photographs of examples elsewhere and scheme proposal form are available through the link below.

Please note that this initiative, being pursued by your Parish Council, is only one part of a wider programme to implement measures to mitigate traffic issues along the C319 within the parish of West Hoathly.
